What is translated in the Leading SAFe 5.1 Japanese?

In the Leading SAFe Courseware Kit, the instructors will find English and Japanese PowerPoint slides and the bilingual (Japanese and English) student workbook.

In the Leading SAFe Japanese Learning Plan, the students will find the bilingual (Japanese and English) workbook, Japanese Exam Study Guide, bilingual (English and Japanese) practice and certification exams.

In the Leading SAFe Trainer Enablement, the instructors will find the Course Delivery Enablement video captions in Japanese and validation exams in the bilingual format (English and Japanese).

I am a previously enabled instructor on Leading SAFe 5.0 Japanese. How can I use Leading SAFe 5.1 Japanese?

You must complete the Leading SAFe 5.1 Japanese Trainer Enablement first. Upon completion you can then license and create the course just like all other courses.

I am a previously enabled instructor on Leading SAFe 5.0 Japanese. Do I have to take the validation exam for 5.1 in the Trainer Enablement?

No, you do not need to take the exam again. Just complete the Course Delivery Enablement videos.

Where can I find the Leading SAFe 5.1 Japanese Trainer Enablement?

Sign into the Community Platform and go to “Teach” in the navigation then “Course Enablement”. The Leading SAFe 5.1 Japanese Trainer Enablement is included in the SAFe Program Consultant Japanese catalog.

Is the Japanese version of Leading SAFe available in 5.1 only?

Leading SAFe Japanese became available in 5.0 but it was a “limited release”. Only the validated instructors were granted access manually to the Learning Plan. Leading SAFe 5.1 is a general availability (GA) release and a fully licensed product. Therefore, instructors must complete the Japanese Leading SAFe 5.1 Trainer Enablement to have the access.

I am enabled to teach Leading SAFe 5.1 English. Can I teach the class using the Japanese 5.1 version?

You must complete the Leading SAFe 5.1 Japanese Trainer Enablement in order to teach Japanese Leading SAFe 5.1 even if you are already enabled to teach the Leading SAFe 5.1 English version.

I am enabled to teach Leading SAFe 5.1 Japanese. Can I teach the class using the English 5.1 version?

You must complete the Leading SAFe 5.1 English Trainer Enablement in order to teach English Leading SAFe 5.1 even if you are already enabled to teach the Leading SAFe 5.1 Japanese version.

I have an unused license for Leading SAFe 5.1 English. Can I exchange the license for the Japanese version of Leading SAFe 5.1?

I have an unused license for Leading SAFe 5.0 Japanese. Can I exchange the license for the Japanese version of Leading SAFe 5.1?

When I get the certification for Leading SAFe 5.1 Japanese, will my certification be the same as Leading SAFe 5.1 English?

Yes. Your certification will be the same: SAFe 5 Agilist.

I am a previously enabled instructor on Leading SAFe 4.6. Do I have to take the validation exam for 5.1 Japanese in the Trainer Enablement?

Yes. You need to upgrade your SPC certification to 5 first. Then you need to complete Course Delivery Enablement including the validation exam.

Does Leading SAFe 5.1 Japanese Courseware Kit include Leading SAFe 5.1 English Courseware Kit?

Yes, you will find both English and Japanese PowerPoint files and the bilingual student workbook. The Exam Study Guide is only in Japanese. Please see the question above (What is translated in the Leading SAFe 5.1 Japanese).

When I take a Leading SAFe Japanese class from Japanese partners, our registration fee is charged by Japanese Yen. If I need to retake the exam of Leading SAFe Japanese, will it be charged by Japanese Yen or US Dollar?

You will be charged by the US Dollar.

When I took the validation exam for Leading SAFe 5.1 Japanese, I couldn’t pass it. After that, can I take the validation exam of Leading SAFe 5.1 English without additional fee?

If you are planning to teach the course using the Japanese version, you need to pass the validation exam using the Leading SAFe 5.1 Japanese version. Similarly, if you are planning to teach the course using the English version, you need to pass the validation exam using the Leading SAFe 5.1 English version. If you fail the Japanese version, you must retake the validation exam in Japanese if you want to teach using the Japanese version. Taking and passing the validation exam in Leading SAFe 5.1 English does not allow you to teach the Japanese version of Leading SAFe 5.1.
