Both Collaborate and CoFund were retired on November 4, 2025 and are no longer available for classroom or non-classroom use.
CoFund & LPM/Participatory Budgeting
What’s changing:
CoFund has been decommissioned.
It will no longer be used in the classroom or real-life settings.
What’s not changing:
Participatory Budgeting remains a core Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) activity.
The familiar Participatory Budgeting spreadsheet and guidance will still be provided for use in classrooms and real-world scenarios.
Collaborate & Classroom Collaboration
What’s changing:
Collaborate is no longer available
Virtual Classroom activities have been replaced with downloadable activity canvases in courseware and SAFe practice areas.
Newer courses already rely on other collaboration methods, such as workbooks and discussions.
What’s not changing:
Collaborative learning remains central to the SAFe classroom experience.
Non-Classroom activity templates (e.g., OAV, VSM, retrospectives) will be downloadable for use in your tool of choice.
Guides for instructors and facilitators will continue to support effective delivery.
Going Forward
How will collaborative activities work in the future?
Courseware kits now include slides of activity canvases to help you build custom collaboration templates. They are available in the ‘Templates’ folder of each relevant course. You can move these into your tool of choice for virtual collaboration by importing them or taking screenshots to bring into your tool.
