When was Collaborate retired?
Collaborate was officially retired on November 4, 2025. It is no longer available for classroom or non-classroom use.
What happened to Collaborate?
Collaborate has been fully decommissioned and is no longer available.
Virtual classroom activities previously completed in Collaborate have now transitioned to downloadable activity canvases in courseware and SAFe Practice Areas.
Newer courses already rely on other collaboration methods, such as workbooks and discussions.
How can I save or retrieve my data?
If you had assets stored in Collaborate such as templates, workspace content, or event data you were able to export them before the November 4, 2025 retirement date.
If you did not export your data before the retirement, it cannot be recovered.
What alternatives or options are available?
Here are three suggested options for continuing virtual and hybrid classroom collaboration:
Option A: Use activity templates from courseware kits
Each course includes slide-based activity canvases in the Templates folder.
You can import these into your tool of choice or take screenshots to build your own collaboration boards.
Option B: Horizon Engage
Horizon Engage delivers the same experience previously offered by SAFe Collaborate, now supported by Applied Frameworks, a Scaled Agile Partner.

Option C: Lucid
Lucid provides a modern whitespace collaboration tool with SAFe classroom templates already prepared for you to use.

You may use whichever tool best fits your environment and learner needs.
Will SAI provide MIRO/MURAL templates or self-help guides?
No, Scaled Agile will not provide all MIRO/ MURAL templates.
If your organization requires guidance on importing or migrating templates into a specific whiteboard platform, you may refer to that tool’s help documentation.
Can we extend access to Collaborate or receive a replacement tool?
No. Access to Collaborate cannot be extended, and the platform will not be reinstated. Instead, you are encouraged to use:
Horizon Engage (same Collaborate experience)
Lucid (modern whitespace tool)
Courseware activity canvases for building your own collaboration boards

CoFund has been fully decommissioned and is no longer available for use. It was retired on November 4th, 2025
