If the exam is taken within 30 days of course completion, your first exam attempt is included as part of the registration fee.
If you are unable to take your exam within the 30-day window, you may still access the exam and can extend your exam deadline from your SAFe Studio profile.
To make the one-time courtesy extension you will need to wait until after your exam has expired, and then follow the directions below:
1. Login to SAFe Studio
2. Select Learn > My Learning from the menu bar on the left.
3. Select "In Progress"
4. Select the course for the exam
5. Towards the bottom of the learning plan, click the blue "Extend time 2 weeks" button next to the Exam.
6. After selecting the extend button, you will need to agree to the terms of the extension. You will then have two weeks to complete the exam without charge. If you do not pass the exam or do not complete the exam in those two weeks, you will need to purchase a retake to re-access the exam.
If the launch button is still available, you will need to wait until the day after the exam expiration date to activate the extension. The two-week extension option is available for 30 days after the exam window closes. If you are outside of this window, an Exam Retake will need to be purchased in order to complete the exam.
For Example: If your exam originally expired on June 10th, you would have 30 days after that to claim the extension. This means you could claim the extension via the button mentioned above on July 10th, and your new expiration date would be July 24th.
