What changes have been made to update the AI-Empowered SAFe Advanced Scrum Master?
The new SASM course includes modernized content focused on AI foundations, responsible AI practices, and hands-on opportunities to practice using AI—all specifically tailored to the advanced facilitation responsibilities of the advanced Scrum Master.
What format does the new AI-Empowered SASM course take?
The new AI-Empowered SASM course is a 2-day instructor-led training (ILT). We’ve found this to be the most reliable and accessible format for our diverse customer base.
Who should take AI-Empowered SASM?
Scrum Masters already familiar with SAFe principles and practices, and want to advance their facilitation, SAFe, and AI skills, should take this course.
What will happen to the legacy Advanced Scrum Master course?
The Advanced Scrum Master course that consisted of SAFe Skills, a micro-credential, and a learning lab will be retired 90 days after the release of the new version.
Don’t worry, though - we’re preserving the best this course had to offer, including the Conflict and Collaboration content and the hands-on, immersive learning experience from the learning lab.
What will happen to my existing SASM 6.0 or ASM badge?
We won’t take away your existing badges, but we are offering you a chance to upgrade your existing certification to the new AI-Empowered SASM certification with minimal effort on your part. If you hold a SASM 6.0 or ASM badge, simply complete the AI Skills for Scrum Masters SAFe Skill, available on SAFe Studio.
Note: SASM 5.1 holders must complete the general 6.0 upgrade before upgrading to AI-Empowered SASM.
