The ASPC is Scaled Agile's premier certification, designed for experienced SPCs who are ready to lead complex, large-scale transformations. It is an advanced credential that requires significant practical knowledge and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Format: Instructor-led training
Learning Lab: A peer-to-peer learning experience to apply what you’ve learned
Certification Exam: A scenario-based multiple-choice exam
Prerequisites: A candidate must hold an active SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) certification to be eligible to attend an ASPC class.
Only active SPCs will be eligible to be rostered.
Once rostered, the SPC will be able to take the exam and become a Certified Advanced SAFe Practice Consultant (ASPC). The SPC certification must be active to receive this certification.
The system does not allow expired SPCs to be rostered, and it will not award the ASPC certification if the SPC certification has expired prior to completing the exam.
Renewal: Once achieving the ASPC certification, this is the new renewal date in the system, providing 1 year of renewal with the achievement.-
SPC Reactivation: If your SPC certification has expired, you must purchase the Expert Membership Renewal and reactivate your SPC certification to regain eligibility for ASPC certification. - Training vs. Exam: Enrolling in ASPC training does not renew SPC certification. Renewal occurs only upon passing the ASPC exam while SPC is active.
Renewal: The ASPC is an annual renewable credential, covered under the SAFe Expert renewal tier. The renewal fee of $995 per year automatically renews all lower-level SAFe certifications the individual holds, including the SPC. If your SPC certification is active when you pass the ASPC exam, all certifications are renewed and aligned to the ASPC expiration date. However, if your SPC certification has expired, you must renew it separately before the ASPC certification can be issued.
