What certification version do I need to upgrade to the AI-Native SAFe version?
Any version of an active SAFe certification can be upgraded!
Your certification must be active and not expired to be eligible to upgrade. You can renew and then take the upgrade.
There are two upgrade plans
With an active SPC, ASPC, or SPCT certification, you will receive the learning plan for the AI-Native SAFe expert upgrade path.
All others will be the AI-Native SAFe upgrade.
In both cases, your valid certifications will be upgraded once your learning plan is completed and you pass the quiz.
How do I upgrade?

Step 2: Click the button “Upgrade Now” to start your AI-Native SAFe Upgrade
Step 3: Complete each step in the Learning Plan. You can come back to complete the learning plan over multiple sessions.
Step 4: Upon completion, you will receive your AI-Native SAFe Upgrade badge.
How will AI-Native SAFe change the current Framework?
If you've been attending the AI-Native SAFe webinars or watching recordings, you'll have seen some previews of the content. This is a significant mindset shift that positions organizations to maximize their value return from the challenges and opportunities presented by AI, in part due to the foundation laid by adopting SAFe. But in this case, rather than a mindset shift that asks people to stop working one way and start working another, it asks that we leverage the lean-agile mindset to extract the most value from the AI-Native mindset as well. Am I required to complete this upgrade to retain my SAFe certification(s)?
No. Organizations can choose to upgrade to AI-Native SAFe when and if they're ready. They can keep practicing SAFe as a robust operating system. SAFe without AI-Native will continue to be supported by Scaled Agile.
Is there a cost associated with upgrading my certification(s) to AI-Native SAFe?
The AI-Native SAFe upgrade is included at no additional cost with every valid SAFe certification.

If I upgrade to AI-Native SAFe, do I still get to keep my prior SAFe certifications?
Yes.
As an SPCT, ASPC, or SPC, does upgrading to AI-Native SAFe upgrade all of my active certifications?
Yes. Completing the AI-Native SAFe Expert Upgrade Learning Plan and quiz will upgrade your SPCT, ASPC, or SPC certifications and all other existing certifications you hold.
About how much time does the upgrade take to complete?
Completing the regular upgrade should take approximately 2.5 hours. The path includes two interactive e-learnings: AI-Native Ready and an overview of AI-Native SAFe.
The Expert upgrade is 3.5 hours. The path includes three interactive e-learnings: AI-Native Ready, an overview of AI-Native SAFe, and an additional e-learning about AI-Native SAFe adoption for experts.
What are the details of the AI-Native SAFe upgrade quiz?
The quiz is short, untimed, and allows you as many attempts as you need to pass. The number of questions and the passing score depend on whether you are taking the expert or regular path. These details are clearly labeled inside each upgrade path.
How do I complete my upgrade path(s)?
Upgrade paths require you to visit every page in the lessons and pass the final quiz. The quiz is open-book and allows as many attempts as necessary.
If the upgrade path is not showing as “complete” in Studio, check these two things:
Each page in each lesson has a check mark next to it in the navigation bar, showing that you have visited it
You have passed the Final Quiz at the end.
If you have the Expert Upgrade Path, you must satisfy these requirements for both upgrade paths.
If you have verified your progress in the upgrade path and your learning plan still does not show as complete in Studio, please return to the home page in Studio and re-navigate to the learning plan.

If I complete the AI-Native SAFe Expert Upgrade, will my Trainer Enablements also be upgraded?
No. The AI-Native SAFe Expert Upgrade only upgrades your valid SAFe certifications; it does not upgrade Trainer Enablements.
To teach AI-Native SAFe courses, you must complete the corresponding AI-Native SAFe Trainer Enablement for each course.
Does upgrading my SAFe certification(s) to AI-Native SAFe change my certification expiration date?
No. Upgraded AI-Native SAFe certifications will inherit the same expiration date from your prior SAFe certifications.
How do I upgrade to AI-Native SAFe if I have an older certification?
Any version of certifications must be active to access the upgrade. This is the only requirement to be eligible to upgrade.
How long do I have to complete the upgrade?
There is no time limit to completing the upgrade. Take as much time as you need.
Do I need to retake a full exam?
The only requirement is to pass the quiz to complete the upgrade. No other exam is required for the upgrade.
Can I still upgrade to SAFe 6?
No. All upgrades are now to AI-Native SAFe.
What happens if I obtain additional SAFe certifications after I’ve completed the upgrade?
After the upgrade to AI-Native SAFe, this will apply to any additional SAFe certifications earned.
