What is SAFe Ready to Train?
SAFe Ready to Train is a self-paced online learning series intended to prepare SPCs
to deliver SAFe training. The series contains six 30-minute modules that include an
overview, practical guidance on planning and delivering training, and self-reflection activities to help you build a training plan. Each module also includes short quizzes to check your understanding of the material. On completion of the series, you will be ready to train!

How much does SAFe Ready to Train cost?
SAFe Ready to Train is free to all certified SPCs in good standing.

Who should take SAFe Ready to Train?
Certified SPCs who are curious about delivering SAFe training, want to build confidence in their SAFe training skills, and current SAFe trainers who want to add actionable tips into their methods can benefit from completing this online learning series.

How can I access SAFe Ready to Train?
Certified SPCs can find SAFe Ready to Train on the Role-based Learning page and self-assign this learning plan.

Are there prerequisites to take SAFe Ready to Train?
To self-enroll in SAFe Ready to Train, you must be a certified SPC in good standing.

What will I have learned after completing SAFe Ready to Train?
On completion of SAFe Ready to Train, you should be able to:

  1. Identify and understand different trainer styles so that you can choose which one(s) are right for you

  2. Balance course content, flow, and timeboxes

  3. Manage the classroom

  4. Gain and maintain student engagement

  5. Solicit feedback to improve future class experiences


What will I get after completing SAFe Ready to Train?
On completion of the SAFe Ready to Train online learning, you will receive a Ready for SAFe digital badge that can be shared and/or displayed electronically.

Do I need to renew the badge?
The Ready for Train badge has no expiration and you do not need to renew it at any point.

How is this different from the SAFe Remote Trainer badge?
The SAFe Remote Trainer badge is no longer being awarded. Instead, we now offer an online learning series and the SAFe Ready to Train badge (upon completion of all of the Ready to Train online learning modules) as a more comprehensive opportunity for SPCs to prepare to deliver training and to consider learner needs for remote, in person, or hybrid training situations.
