How can I get technical support during my exam?

During your exam, you can reach out to your proctor or to support at any time by clicking the "Support" button in the sidebar of Guardian or by opening the proctor chat box. Your proctor will be happy to support you with any questions related to your experience with the Proctor U Platform, but they are not allowed to provide any assistance with the subject matter or content of your exam.

What is not allowed during my proctored exam?"

  • No virtual machines

  • No Apple Boot Camp

  • No unlicensed/inactive Windows installations

  • External monitor requirements

⚠️ Critical Security Action Required: Close Remote Desktop Software ⚠️

Before your appointment, you must completely deactivate all remote access software (such as Windows Remote Desktop, AnyDesk, TeamViewer, or ZoomTo). Failure to close this software will prevent you from taking your exam, and you may be required to purchase additional exam attempts.

Follow these steps to close and deactivate the software:

  • Deactivate Windows Remote Desktop:

  • Go to Start > Settings > System > Remote Desktop and toggle the switch to Off.

  • Close AnyDesk (Windows):

  • Look at the bottom right of your taskbar. Click the small up arrow (^), right-click the red AnyDesk icon, and select Quit or Exit.

  • Close AnyDesk (Mac):

  • Look at the top right of your screen in the menu bar. Click the red AnyDesk icon and select Quit.

  • Close Other Programs:

  • Ensure all other screen-sharing or remote-control tools (like TeamViewer or Zoom) are completely shut down and not running in the background before launching your exam.
