How do I renew my certification?
Renewals are purchased on the Renewal Details page in Studio:
Log in to Studio.
Click Renew Now at the top of the home page, or go straight to Renewal Details: https://studio.scaledagile.com/en/subscription-details
Choose your renewal tier and complete checkout.
You renew by tier, not one certification at a time. The tier you purchase renews every certification you hold at that level and below. See What are Scaled Agile's Certification tiers for Studio?
SAFe Expert (SPC, ASPC, SPCT): renews all of your SAFe certifications.
SAFe Advanced: renews your Advanced and Foundational SAFe certifications.
SAFe Foundational: renews your Foundational SAFe certifications only.
The tiers cover SAFe certifications, including the AI-Native SAFe and AI-Empowered SAFe versions. AI-Native certifications are not renewed by a tier purchase (see "Do the renewal tiers cover my AI-Native certifications?" below).
Certifications are non-refundable.
Where do I see my expiration dates? Your My Certs page (in your Studio profile) lists every certification and its expiration date. My Certs is for viewing your certifications; renewals are purchased on Renewal Details.
Note: You do not need to take the exam again to renew your certification.
Taking a new course does not renew your previously earned certifications. Taking a new course will provide you with a year of Framework access from the date you complete that course.
Exception: If you take an Implementing SAFe course and pass the SPC exam, your previous certifications and access will be renewed to match the expiration of your SPC certification.
I renewed, but one of my certifications did not renew. Why?
Check which tier you purchased on Renewal Details. A tier only renews certifications at that level and below. For example, a SAFe Foundational renewal renews SAFe Scrum Master but does not renew SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC). To renew your SPC, purchase the SAFe Expert renewal, which renews all of your certifications.
If the certification that did not renew is an AI-Native certification (for example, Certified AI-Native Change Agent), it is not included in the renewal tiers; see the next question.
If you completed a new course rather than purchasing a renewal, your other certifications are not renewed (see the note above).
Do the renewal tiers cover my AI-Native certifications?
No. The renewal tiers (SAFe Expert, SAFe Advanced, SAFe Foundational) renew SAFe certifications only, including the AI-Native SAFe and AI-Empowered SAFe versions of those certifications (for example, Certified AI-Native SAFe Scrum Master renews with the SAFe Foundational tier).
The AI-Native certifications (Certified AI-Native Change Agent, Certified AI-Native Foundations Professional, Certified AI-Native Leader, Certified AI-Native Value Architect, and Certified AI-Native Trainer) are not renewed by any tier. Each one renews individually with its own renewal; see "How do I renew my AI-Native certification?" below.
How do I renew my AI-Native certification?
AI-Native certifications renew individually, one certification at a time:
The AI-Native renewals are:
AI-Native Change Agent Renewal: $295/year + applicable tax (renews Certified AI-Native Change Agent)
AI-Native Foundations Renewal: $195/year + applicable tax (renews Certified AI-Native Foundations Professional)
AI-Native Leader Renewal: $195/year + applicable tax (renews Certified AI-Native Leader)
AI-Native Value Architect Renewal: $295/year + applicable tax (renews Certified AI-Native Value Architect)
AI-Native Trainer Renewal: $1,500/year + applicable tax (renews Certified AI-Native Trainer)
Each renewal extends that one certification for one year. You do not need to take the exam again to renew.
Does renewing an AI-Native certification renew my other certifications?
No. An AI-Native renewal renews only the certification it was purchased for. It does not renew your other AI-Native certifications, does not renew your SAFe certifications, and does not change your renewal tier. Your SAFe Insider access is extended to the new certification expiration date.
Exception: the AI-Native Trainer renewal renews your Certified AI-Native Trainer certification and also extends your other AI-Native certifications to the same expiration date.
Can I renew my AI-Native certification before or after it expires?
Yes, both work:
Before it expires: you can renew at any time, and you never lose time. The new expiration date is one full year after your current expiration date.
After it expires: renew the same way, from the Renew button on that certification in Studio. The new expiration date is one year from the day you renew. There are no late fees and no exam retake.
I hold both SAFe and AI-Native certifications. What do I need to renew?
Two separate renewals:
A Certification tier (SAFe Expert, SAFe Advanced, or SAFe Foundational) for all of your SAFe certifications, purchased on Renewal Details.
An individual AI-Native renewal for each AI-Native certification you hold, purchased from the Renew button on that certification.
For example, if you hold SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) and Certified AI-Native Change Agent, you would purchase the SAFe Expert tier (which renews all of your SAFe certifications) plus the AI-Native Change Agent Renewal.
Is "AI-Native SAFe" the same as "AI-Native" when I renew?
No, and the name matters when renewing:
AI-Native SAFe certifications (the word SAFe is in the name, for example Certified AI-Native SAFe Scrum Master, Certified AI-Native SAFe Practice Consultant) are SAFe certifications. They renew with the Certification tiers on Renewal Details.
AI-Native certifications (no SAFe in the name: Certified AI-Native Change Agent, Certified AI-Native Foundations Professional, Certified AI-Native Leader, Certified AI-Native Value Architect, Certified AI-Native Trainer) renew individually from the Renew button on each certification.
Why am I not seeing the option to renew?
If you are not seeing the option to renew, you may have signed up for Auto-Renewal. To unenroll from Auto-Renewal, visit Renewal Details in Studio:
Click on "Edit Auto-Renewal"
Click on "Unenroll from Automatic Renewal"
Mark the Checkbox "I understand" after reading a brief pop-up window
Click on "Unenroll"
You will see a confirmation that your Automatic Renewal has been stopped.
How early can I renew my certification?
You can renew your certification up to 270 days before your current certification expires. Renewals are every year.
Can I renew my certification after the expiration date?
Yes, you can renew after your certification expires. Log in to Studio and go to Renewal Details to purchase your renewal tier. There are no late fees or exam retakes required to maintain your certifications.
I am on a SAFe Enterprise Subscription (SES). How do I renew?
For assistance with your SES, contact your SES Admin listed on your account.
The SPC renewal is not included in the SAFe Enterprise Subscription and must be renewed separately.
What is included in my SPCT and SPC renewals?
The SAFe® Program Consultant Trainer (SPCT) and SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) renewal is the SAFe Expert tier and renews all of your other SAFe certifications. The cost is $995 per year. The renewal is valid for one year and includes access to the Studio Platform.

Can I access my expired certification(s)?
